COMIC PROCESS

Hello again my friends. We've been discussing parenting, artistic journeys and purpose. What all of these things have in common, as far as concerning me, is that they are the inspiration for why I draw comics. The answer to "why" is where you need to start when you first think about wanting to draw, write, or create comics.
When I first began to think about drawing comics all I thought about was the drawing part. I didn't think about scripts, panel layout, story development, character motivation, etc.
There is so much more about creating comics than just drawing pictures. Answering the "why" is what is going to keep you going when things get difficult, which they will. No matter if you feel it is your life's calling to draw and create comics, there will be really, really hard days.
So, I am going to use some of these posts along with YouTube videos that are going to delve one step at a time into each step and part of the process. There will be no paywall for this, no courses to buy, just YouTube videos and blogs that discuss how to think about creating comics and how to execute your dreams.
Videos to come and more to come from Panels and Purpose! In the meantime, think about "why" you want to create comics. I'd love to hear from you, you can reach out to me at josh@lmancomics.com and don't forget to sign up for our newsletter for all the latest on Lman and other behind-the-scenes fun!
Until next time,
Josh
